I Don’t Want to Go Out—Week of June 11

Movies, movies and more movies out this week for those of us too lazy to leave the damn house. You can watch a movie that will tear your heart out, or watch an about-effing-time teen romance. Middling horror and action also await your loungy ass, so dig right in!

Loveless

Love, Simon

The Strangers: Prey at Night

I Don’t Want to Go Out—Week of June 4

An abundance of stay-cool-indoors options this week in home entertainment. If you missed the spectacular Thoroughbreds, now is your chance to remedy that. If you believed the trash talk about A Wrinkle in Time, you can undo that nonsense now, too. The rest—meh—but Hurricane Heist at least delivers what it promises.

I Don’t Want to Go Out—Week of May 7

Wow, some very different films available for home entertainment this week. On one hand, artist Ai Weiwei’s utterly breathtaking documentary on displacement and refugees. On the other, the last and worst of the Fifty Shades films. Our guess is that either one or the other may interest you, not likely both.

Guess which one we like better. Click the link to read the full review.

Fifty Shades Freed

I Don’t Want to Go Out—Week of February 26

It is one hell of a week in home entertainment, people. Oscar nominees aplenty! No reason to leave home even one time this week. Woot!

I Don’t Want to Go Out—Week of February 20

I had a dream last night. It was about a poor wise man who changes the city.

Yes, among the very worst and most embarrassing (for us as a people) films Same Kind of Different as Me is available for home “entertainment” this week, but fear not. So are tons of other things: a colorfully adorable superhero flick, a couple of solid horror flicks, and one bad comedy. Though it not as bad—or as funny—as Same Kind

I Don’t Want to Go Out: Week of November 6

Not a half-bad haul in home entertainment this week. One pretty excellent social satire plus a decent ‘toon, not bad horror flick, nice little indie. And also the wildly disappointing The Glass Castle. But otherwise, not bad!
